Every marketing message carries a one-click unsubscribe link and our postal address, and tells you which address it was sent to and why you are receiving it. You can also unsubscribe at any time at https://www.notatek.com/unsubscribe — no account, no login, and no need to find an old email.

We record when a marketing message is delivered, whether it bounced, whether it was opened, and which links in it were clicked, together with the date and the approximate device or email client that did so. We use this only to judge whether our email is wanted and whether it is reaching inboxes. Open tracking relies on a small image and is blocked by many email clients, so it is approximate by nature. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and marketing tracking is not applied to transactional email such as quotes and order updates.

When you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that opt-out INDEFINITELY. This is deliberate and it is what makes the opt-out permanent: if we deleted it, the next import from our customer records would add you back. If you also ask us to erase your personal data, we erase the contact record and keep only a one-way cryptographic hash of the email address — enough to recognise the address and keep it suppressed, not enough to recover it or to contact you.

Marketing email is separate from transactional email. Unsubscribing stops the marketing; it does not stop replies to your own enquiries, quotes, or order updates.

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving you.

These parties are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and use it only for the purposes we specify.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties for marketing purposes.
