The University of Utah
Campus-wide Wayfinding and Building Identification
The University of Utah campus is large and constantly growing, making navigation difficult for new students and visitors. Our job was to create a comprehensive signage system that clearly guided people across the grounds and helped them easily locate specific buildings and departments.
Exterior Wayfinding
We fabricated and installed a series of large-scale exterior signs designed for durability and visibility. These included powder-coated aluminum monoliths with routed letters, set on deep concrete foundations. Our team dug trenches, poured footings, and then carefully hoisted and bolted the finished sign structures into place, ensuring they stood straight and firm against weather.

Interior Building Signs
Inside, we focused on clear directories and room identification for many academic and administrative buildings. We produced acrylic panels with direct-printed graphics and tactile braille, along with brushed aluminum plaques for office doors. Each sign was precisely measured and mounted to walls and doorframes, providing consistent information throughout.
